Valerie and I had a talk, as I kinda brushed over previously. She told me she's going to be dumping her present boyfriend in the near future (I believe her because of tonight's events (later in the entry)), and she would like for something to happen between us. After a lot of shy discussion we agreed that we liked each other as more than just friends and would like to give things a go as a serious relationship.

Valerie, as I've mentioned a few times now, is going to be away from the area for 5 weeks of training in a couple of weeks from now. She said she's going to dump her current boyfriend ASAP, but wants to stay single until she's back from the training because there's no point in us being "together" but not together. It sounds pretty smart to me, even if all it means is she wants to sleep around a bit first. That's what I wanna do anyway. :D

So, I have about 7 weeks of being single left now. Any fun I want to have in the time between now and then is up to me, same as it's up to her. Valerie has said she'll want to be coming back at the weekends for sex though, which suits me down to the ground! :D With any luck she's actually going to follow through on what she's been saying and visit me for my birthday on Easter Sunday. We have a sort of idea of travelling somewhere cool for the long weekend. It'd be nice if it worked out, but I'm not holding my breath. A lot of people are all talk.

Anyway, this all kind of brings me to today. Valerie met me after she finished work tonight with my friend in the pub for the quiz. Her phone ran out of battery at a fairly early point of the night. After the quiz my friend left us together. We spoke for a few minutes and then went outside. To my absolute horror I discovered that Valerie's current boyfriend, John, had parked up next to Valerie in the car park and was waiting for her to come out. Obviously I didn't notice this until I was already at the car, and so it was kinda too late to turn around.

He was not pleased. She got the regular "who the fuck is that?!?" She explained that I was someone she knew from work and I kept my mouth closed and looked at the ground for a while. The night ended for me with Valerie giving me a lift home while her boyfriend followed us in the car behind. They had a nice little race because they were both pissed off. As far as I know they're now having a "talk."

This would be the ideal opportunity for Valerie to get rid of him, if she's serious.
